The research project directed by the Anomos-Dédale joint project and three French researchers (Clarisse Bardiot, Florence Laly, Ludovic Fouquet) and linked to a large international web of professionals and researchers aims at showing the historical and theoretical state of theatrical projects using modern technologies on the French and international levels. The research project is marked by a series of five private studying sessions bringing together professional (French and foreign companies, actors and directors), researchers and representatives of cultural institutions. These sessions shall allow the processing of all data collected during research and the preparation of the public meetings.

The public meetings are for artists, companies and professionals, especially those in performing arts. They are to be a place of exchange and debates between the professionals and to account for the work carried out by the research project and the studying sessions in addition to presenting devices, pending projects and videos. These five public meetings are to take place at the Studio Théâtre de la Comédie Française and shall be launched in Beaubourg during the Ircam Résonances Festival on October, 24, 2003.

During the summer 2004, the “digital creation and new stage writings” event–of which an international conference, workshops, spectacles and devices presentations shall be the backbone– shall end the launched process. This step of the project is now underway.
